mGifts - Gift List Manager App Reviews

This app loaded just fine and I was able to add at least six people. I also had added lots of gifts under the various sections of need, purchase, and wrap. A few days later the app will not open. When I tried to select it, it said "waiting" underneath the app. This is an app with lots of potential but has a substantial amount of bugs. Please fix these and Ill give you guys more stars. Thanks.

Dont waste your time or money. Broken after a few hours, forced on a waiting screen. Then never opened again. Waited four days before deleting. Luckily I got this for free from the Starbucks app, otherwise Id be sour.

It loaded once and now not so much. It started doing the whole crashing the second it started up thing, and now it wont even get that far. No Bueno.

App crashes every time I trie to add new person. It is unseeable.

I have the latest software and the app still does not open. So much fora helpful app. Disappointed

Took a minute to figure out how to work it, but after I figured it all, I had no problems.

I too have a greyed out app icon and it says waiting. My work around is to double tap the home button (iPhone) and instead of swiping up to close it I tap on mgifts and it will open. Ridiculous but I will do this until Christmas is over since I have so much loaded in already. PLEASE FIX!

Love this app! Helps me stay on budget and keep track of what I still need. It would be far more helpful though, to have all my stores with gift "needs" and/or "ideas" in one view instead of every single store cluttering up my view forcing me to scroll to find which ones I actually need to see. Also would love if "ideas" were connected to stores because at Christmas that means I need to stop there to see if my idea pans out. Basically I want the stores listed concisely so I can easily view where I need to stop.

I got this app thinking it was a very good idea. Managing your gift giving. I was very disappointed by the app. The app is very complex and requires too many clicks to get anything entered. I found myself asking why do I have to go through touching a view then an edit, then another function just to enter information. Navigating this app is an exercise in in puzzle solving. For a gift app it is too complicated to be useful and so it was removed from my devices.

Stuck "waiting..." And will not fully install, or open anymore. So much for using this for Christmas.

This app was perfect for me ! I shop for at least 21 people every year and this app helped me to organize everything. But now its greyed out and says "waiting" and Ive lost everything and I dont remember everything I wrote down. There needs to be an update or something.

Im loving the concept of this app, and have used it all day today to negotiate at least nine gifts on lists for 10 different people, within one event. Ive had zero issues that others have experienced (waiting, force quit, missing names, etc.) Some things to note: iPhone 6, 9.2 iOS, app installed before iOS update but not opened until after. Also, I did NOT sync any of my contacts - I just manually entered the name of the person. There are a couple of features I would love to see that I think would reduce the number of clicks people need. One feature would be the presence of a user-created list of common gifts to choose among, with the option to automatically save a new gift to the previously created gifts on that list. That auto-save option could be a toggle switch that is either on or off all the time. That way someone doesnt have to keep typing gift card, or ice cream cake, or American Cancer Society donation, etc. Another feature that would be super helpful is if an events master list of gifts from one store would sort alphabetically by GIFT. In addition, it should combine identical gifts to show the entire quantity a user needs to purchase - well be in the right place to get them all at once, since that is the list were using.

Great concept, but after entering EVERYTHING (which took a lot of time to organize), the app decided to stop working. Out of nowhere, it said "waiting" as if it was a new app loading and I havent been able to open it since. I deleted it and re-downloaded it from my cloud, but now all of my data is erased. So much for that.

Was working fabulous for me. Now today, when I need to wrap all my presents, it wont work! Hopefully I remember offhand which person had what gifts, but this is ridiculous especially right before Christmas. Worst company ever!

I was loving this app - telling everyone who would would listen that I scored from Starbucks - entered 20 people with 80+ gifts total. It was great until I tried to access it just 12/23 - greyed out and inaccessible - I send a message to support, but they are closed for the holiday - booooooo! Come thru like the grinch and give me my list back please!!!!!

I love the app, but its supposed to help me keep gift giving organized& I have not been able to open it in 3 days!!! & right before Christmas... Horrible. Now I am totally lost because I trusted this app & I have no idea what everyone wants/ has... Its a mess. I also cant delete the app, thinking that might force it to restart... Its stuck in waiting mode. I have even reset my phone over& over& no luck... Please fix.

So I have an older iPhone 5 that I keep around to use like an iPod Touch at home, and luckily I have no problem accessing the app on that (and I set up iCloud sync so I have correct data both places), but yeah, out of the blue my mGifts icon is greyed out on my 6 and refuses to open. Otherwise the app is really cool, and I can see a lot of potential for my future use, but thats a pretty big issue. Im glad it was a Starbucks freebie for me.

Same issues. Never even started up. Installed. Deleted. Reinstalled. Final deletion. Plenty of other apps out there that arent coded by 6 year olds.

I entered info for every gift purchased for Christmas this year. I thought the app was a wonderful idea!! Then it turned grey and had waiting underneath it. I guess everything is gone. Either way, I sure cant get to it.
